Roderick
David Stewart - is a British singer and
songwriter born in 1945 and raised in London.
Rod Stewart started his solo career in 1969,
with his debut album - An Old Raincoat Won't Ever Let You
Down. With his raspy voice he gained many new fans and his
song "Sailing", was a massive number one
hit in the UK and it later became the theme music for a BBC documentary
series about HMS Ark Royal. He is an internationally
famous artist and singer performing on world stages and selling more
than 250 million albums. In 2005 he received a Grammy
Award for Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album – Stardust
– from his Great American Songbook Volume III. |
