Opera House inauguration gala - 2005
The Royal Ballet
Copenhagen’s and Denmark’s new international Opera House is one of the most modern of its type and one of the best-equipped opera buildings in the world.

The Opera House was donated to the Danish state by the A.P. Møller and Chastine Mc-Kinney Møller Foundation in August 2000 - and in 2005 the inauguration gala took place on January 15 - in the presence of Queen Margrethe II - Architect Henning Larsen
- Ship Owner Mærsk Mc-Kinney Møller and Danish Prime Minister Anders Fogh Rasmussen. The Opera House is administered by the Royal Danish Theatre and the Opera House is located in Copenhagen just opposite the Amalienborg Palaces at the shore of the harbor entrance.
 
  YouTube video presentation with fabulous ballet dancers Silja Schandorff and Nikolaj Hübbe from the Royal Danish Ballet Corps at the inauguration gala in 2005 - with a choreographed version of Jacob Gade’s famous Tango Jalousie by Peter Martins. The gala was transmitted by Denmark's National Broadcasting Corporation - DR - that is founded by the Danish tax payers.
