Michael
Steven Bublé - born 1975 - is a world famous
Canadian singer and crooner - who has won
several awards - including three Grammy Awards - and multiple
Juno Awards.
Michael Bublé’s first singing engagements were
in nightclubs at the age of 16 - and were
facilitated by his Italian grandfather
Demetrio Santagà. Michael Bublé's grandfather
also paid for his singing lessons. Although I like rock
'n' roll and modern music - the first time my granddad played
me the Mills Brothers - something magical
happened. At the age of 18 he entered a
local talent contest and won. Michael Bublé's first
national TV performance was on a 1997 award-winning
Bravo! Michael Bublé's debut album
was released in 2003 by 143 Records/Reprise
Records - and soon entered the Canadian album charts - with
success in the UK - US - Australia and
elsewhere soon followed with the album going platinum
and reaching the top ten of the album charts in
the UK - Canada and going all the way to
#1 in Australia where it reached 7x Platinum
for sales of 490,000 copies. Since Michael
Bublé has recorded 12 albums - the
last from 2010 called “Crazy
Love” that debuted as No. 1 on
the Billboard 200 chart - and was his fourth
No. 1 album on the Billboard's Top Jazz
Album charts. Michael Bublé has performed on all
world stages has been described as having a vocal style
similar to that of Frank Sinatra - even
as being "an heir to Sinatra".
