Hans Christian Andersen (1805 - 1875) - The Emperor's New Clothes

The world famous fairy tale writer Hans Christian Andersen was born 2. April 1805 in Odense on the Isle of Funen and lived most of his life in Copenhagen. Just like in one of his famous fairytales the 25th from 1844 - his life was the story about an ugly duckling that turned into a beautiful swan. The YouTube video part shows Danny Kaye telling H.C.Andersen’s fairy tale about The Emperor's New Clothes from 1837. Hans Christian Andersen died in Copenhagen 4. August 1875.
