Evgeny
Igorevich Kissin - awarded classical pianist and Russian
virtuoso - born 1971
At age 6 Evgeny Kissin became a student of Anna
Pavlovna Kantor at the Gnessin School of Music
in Moscow. His debut with the Ulyanovsk Symphony Orchestra
at the age of 11 gave his first performance in
Moscow and his magnificent talent as a classical concert pianist
was noticeable on the national scene in 1984, when he played and
recorded Chopin's two piano concertos together
with the Moscow Philharmonic Orchestra. His breakthrough
in the USA was in 1990 at Carnegie
Hall and since he as been performing on international scenes
with all the leading symphony orchestras under famous conductors.
He performed in Denmark in 2004, with The
Danish National Radio Symphony Orchestra based in Copenhagen.
