In a newly conducted survey shows
that the Danes are most proud of the
following 3 export products:

Lurpak Butter (Gold)
The Lurpak butter Lurpak is
a Danish brand of butter owned
by the Danish Dairy Board. It
is sold in over 80 countries
world wide - and is best known
for its distinct silver packaging.
Lurpak started in 1901
as a combination of
several Danish dairy farmers
to create a common brand for
butter to increase sales. Through
the latter half of the
20th century Lurpak
has moved from being available
in a few large markets to gaining
access to markets in most of
the world. The history of Lurpak
spreading from a few large markets
and branching off to many markets
across of the globe begins in
the middle of the 20th
century and step by
step Lurpak was introduced to
new global markets. Today -
Lurpak is one of the world’s
best distributed butter
brands - and in many countries
it is the market leader.

butter is Lurpak
- and sales figures speak for
themselves with the home market
share of 60%

Carlsberg Beer (Silver)
The Carlsberg Beer is known
all over the world and has a
reputation as being
“Probably the Best Beer
in the World”.
The Carlsberg Brewery was founded
by J.C Jacobsen and established
outside the city ramparts of
Copenhagen – where the
first brew was a reality in
November 1847.
In 1869 Carlsberg
exports it first barrel of beer
to Edinburgh - Scotland and
trough the years - the Carlsberg
brand can be found in 160
different countries together
with its other principal brand
Tuborg - which are the two most
widely sold beers around the
world. The Carlsberg Group is
one of the largest brewery group’s
in the world employing about
50,000 people |

Anthon Berg Chocolate (Bronze)
Anthon Berg was a famous Danish
producer of chocolate
and the name of a corporate
firm within Toms International.
Anthon Berg was originally a
Copenhagen green grocer and
later with his son - Gustav
Anthon - created a premium
chocolate line with
a loyal customer base composed
of the upper middle class and
upper class of Danish society.
The company was founded in 1884
and for half a century the Anthon
Berg brand has borne the distinguished
title "Purveyors
to the Royal Danish Court".
The company has been
passed down through generations
of inheritance and is now run
and majority owned by the Anthon
family. Anthon Berg developed
Denmark’s first
marzipan bar - the
so called pink marzipan
bar that all Danes
just love to eat. The Anthon
Berg’s chocolate products
are available in most parts
of the world.
