The competition is to unicycle (one wheel cycling) up and down of the spiral ramp of the Round Tower from 1642, without touching, falling or receiving help from anybody and the fastest female or male no matter what age, are the winners.
Everybody is welcome, to participate in the Royal Roundtower Unicycle Race 2007. The world record up and down the ramp on a unicycle is 1 minute 48.7 seconds and was set in 1989. Great fun for participants and spectators.

Every year on the 23 August, the Little Mermaid’s birthday is celebrated by young mermaids, who will form the number of years of her anniversary in the clean harbour water. There are also many festivities on the shore that day - beside of the Mermaid statue. Arranged by the Danish Swimming Association.

Everyone can participate in this swimming competition round the 2 km canals of Christiansborg Castle 2008. The start point of the race will be at the “Black Diamond” at 9.00 a.m. and will nearly end here too. Test your condition and the fresh waters of Copenhagen harbour. Contact the Danish Swimming Association, who has arranged this event, if you are interested.
